Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is Full Steam Ahead for National Ice Cream Month 2020

Company announces best-ever sales in May and three new stores

PITTSBURGH – This year has been full of obstacles and changes. And while the world is still adjusting, adapting and recovering, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is hoping to continue to do its part by scooping smiles for customers. During National Ice Cream Month in July, Bruster’s is introducing a new delectable limited time offer flavor –S’mores with Oreo® ice cream – as well as offering Sweet Rewards Double Points Days July 17, 2020 through July 19, 2020. But that’s not all.

The company also recently opened three new stores in Ashburn, Virginia, Bowie, Maryland and Polaris, Ohio. All part of its strategic growth plan – to open one great store at a time – these locations complement an additional five stores currently under construction and a new store agreement in Charlotte, North Carolina, which takes total Bruster’s in North Carolina to 10. The combination of new stores and new store agreements top off a strong quarter of growth.

“We’ve had the privilege to experience the anticipation and excitement around new stores as we work through construction, finishing touches and grand openings,” Jim Sahene, Bruster’s CEO, said. “While it’s been a challenging time, we hope the new stores enable loved ones to come together safely and happily.”

Bruster’s of Ashburn is located at 43150 Broadlands Center, Plaza Suite 114, Ashburn, Virginia 20148. Set right in the middle of a burgeoning set of shops, restaurants and activities, the new store is officially open at 12:00 p.m. daily. Similarly, customers of Bruster’s of Bowie can stop by the store next to Sardi’s Pollo A La Brasa at 4001 Town Center Boulevard, Bowie, Maryland 20716 daily beginning at 11:00 a.m. And Bruster’s of Polaris, set in the bustling and well-known Polaris Fashion Place shopping area, can be visited at 1515 Gemini Place, Columbus, OH 43240. The shop is ready to greet customers starting at 11:00 a.m. each day.

“Throughout the past few months we’ve seen customers and stores display incredible resilience,” Sahene continued. “As we move deeper into the summer season, we hope to spend time together – as safe and permitted – to share in special moments. We’re fortunate to be in a business of scooping smiles and will continue to offer that to our local communities.”

As the company approaches its 31st anniversary on July 13, its momentum continues to grow with milestones including company-best sales in May.

In addition to new stores and historical sales, Bruster’s is also introducing new S’mores with Oreo® ice cream – for a limited time in July. Sure to be guests new favorite, it’s made with chocolate ice cream, marshmallow swirls, graham cracker ribbons and chunks of OREO® cookies, evoking the flavors and feelings of summer. An existing favorite is also on deck in July: Peanut Butter Cup with Reese’s which is made with peanut butter ice cream, fudge ribbons and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
